OPEN CALL TO ARTISTS
AT THESE UNUSUAL TIMES, IT IS CRUCIAL TO TALK ABOUT THESE THINGS.
JUST BECAUSE WE SAY “I’M OK” DOESN’T MEAN THAT WE ARE.
Inspired by the sculptural artwork “I’M OK!” by Italian artist Marcantonio — a thumbs up, amidst the confinement — this is an open call for international artists to share their creativity for the benefit of Food For Soul non-profit organisation, in order to help support vulnerable communities worldwide.
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
When we say “I’M OK” —what does it really mean? What’s the real feeling behind this response? And what if your winning submission and your creativity can help raise funds, to help those in need to feel “OK”, at this unusual time?
So, we invite you to express and share your truth on what you really feel inside when you say “I’M OK”, during these unprecedented times for individuals and communities worldwide.
We are looking for a wide range of new inspirational voices and personal perspectives on the recent experiences of freedom vs. confinement, safety vs. insecurity, struggles vs. positivity. We offer you a vital creative outlet for to share your personal interpretation, your truth, on what’s really behind “I’M OK”.
- Submissions are open between September 7 to September 28.
- All submissions are restricted to digital entries via Instagram.
- Every variety of creative expression is welcome.
- Submissions must not contain any reference (written or visual, direct or indirect) to violence, derision, drug use, overt sexuality. Note —the audience is not age-restricted. We encourage the artist community to share an inspirational, inclusive and supportive platform for and between all participants.
All submissions will be reviewed and assessed by a specially selected, international, panel of judges (below).
